Arterial hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is one of the main causes of cardio-vascular death.

The World Health Organization’s (WHO) latest data shows that a lot of people do not know that they have the disease. Aiming to increase people’s awareness about hypertension, since 2005 there is an initiative by which The World Hypertension Day is globally celebrated every year on May 17th. High blood pressure is one of the main reasons causing stroke, heart attack, heart failure, Aortic Aneurysm, peripheral arterial and kidney diseases. Chronic diseases lead to a significant lifetime shortening.
